הַלְלוּ יָהּ שִׁירוּ לַיהוָה שִׁיר חָדָשׁ תְּהִלָּתוֹ בִּקְהַל חֲסִידִים׃   149:1

Psal. 149:1   Hallelujah!

                               Sing to the Lord a new song,

                        His praise in an assembly of faithful ones.

יִשְׂמַח יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּעֹשָׂיו בְּנֵי־צִיּוֹן יָגִילוּ בְמַלְכָּם׃   149:2

Psal. 149:2   Let Israel rejoice in its Maker!

                                Let the children of Zion exult in their King!

יְהַלְלוּ שְׁמוֹ בְמָחוֹל בְּתֹף וְכִנּוֹר יְזַמְּרוּ־לוֹ׃   149:3

Psal. 149:3   Let them praise His name with dancing!

                                 Let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and harp!

כִּי־רוֹצֶה יְהוָה בְּעַמּוֹ יְפָאֵר עֲנָוִים בִּישׁוּעָה׃   149:4

Psal. 149:4   For the Lord is pleased with His people;

                                He shall adorn the humble with salvation.

יַעְלְזוּ חֲסִידִים בְּכָבוֹד יְרַנְּנוּ עַל־מִשְׁכְּבוֹתָם׃   149:5

Psal. 149:5   Let the faithful ones exult in glory;

                                let them sing for joy on their beds,

רוֹמְמוֹת אֵל בִּגְרוֹנָם וְחֶרֶב פִּיפִיּוֹת בְּיָדָם׃   149:6

Psal. 149:6   high praises of God in their throat,

                                and a two-edged sword in their hand,

לַעֲשׂוֹת נְקָמָה בַּגּוֹיִם תּוֹכֵחֹת בַּל־אֻמִּים׃   149:7

Psal. 149:7   to execute vengeance among the nations,

                                chastisements among the peoples,

לֶאְסֹר מַלְכֵיהֶם בְּזִקִּים וְנִכְבְּדֵיהֶם בְּכַבְלֵי בַרְזֶל׃   149:8

Psal. 149:8   to bind their kings in fetters,

                                and make them heavy with bonds of iron,

לַעֲשׂוֹת בָּהֶם מִשְׁפָּט כָּתוּב הָדָר הוּא לְכָל־חֲסִידָיו הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃   149:9

Psal. 149:9   executing upon them the written judgment.

                                He is Glory to all His faithful ones.
