2Chronicles 4

וַיַּעַשׂ מִזְבַּח נְחֹשֶׁת עֶשְׂרִים אַמָּה אָרְכּוֹ וְעֶשְׂרִים אַמָּה רָחְבּוֹ וְעֶשֶׂר אַמּוֹת קוֹמָתוֹ׃   4:1

2Chr. 4:1   Then he made an altar of brass; twenty cubits was its length and twenty cubits was its width and ten cubits was its height.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַיָּם מוּצָק עֶשֶׂר בָּאַמָּה מִשְּׂפָתוֹ אֶל־שְׂפָתוֹ עָגוֹל סָבִיב וְחָמֵשׁ בָּאַמָּה קוֹמָתוֹ וְקָו שְׁלֹשִׁים   4:2

 בָּאַמָּה יָסֹב אֹתוֹ סָבִיב׃

2Chr. 4:2   And he made the molten sea ten in cubits from its edge to its edge, round of circuit, and five in cubits was its height, and a line of thirty in cubits could enclose it all around.

וּדְמוּת בְּקָרִים תַּחַת לוֹ סָבִיב סָבִיב סוֹבְבִים אֹתוֹ עֶשֶׂר בָּאַמָּה מַקִּיפִים אֶת־הַיָּם סָבִיב שְׁנַיִם טוּרִים   4:3

 הַבָּקָר יְצוּקִים בְּמֻצַקְתּוֹ׃

2Chr. 4:3   And the likeness of oxen was beneath it; they were totally encompassing it round about, ten in cubits, supporting the sea all around.  The oxen were of two tiers, being cast with its casting.

2Chr. 4:4   It was standing on the twelve oxen; three were facing north and three were facing west and three were facing south and three were facing east, and the sea was on top over them, and all their back sides were inward.

וְעָבְיֹו טֶפַח וּשְׂפָתֹו כְּמַעֲשֵׂה שְׂפַת־כֹּוס פֶּרַח שֹׁושַׁנָּה מַחֲזִיק בַּתִּים שְׁלֹשֶׁת אֲלָפִים יָכִיל׃   4:5

2Chr. 4:5   And its thickness was a handbreadth and its brim was made like the brim of a cup, a blossom lily; made strong, it could hold three thousand baths.

In the description of the sea in 1Kings, we are told that it contains two thousand baths in 1Kin. 7:26.

וַיַּעַשׂ כִּיּוֹרִים עֲשָׂרָה וַיִּתֵּן חֲמִשָּׁה מִיָּמִין וַחֲמִשָּׁה מִשְּׂמֹאול לְרָחְצָה בָהֶם אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂה הָעוֹלָה יָדִיחוּ   4:6

בָם וְהַיָּם לְרָחְצָה לַכֹּהֲנִים בּוֹ׃

2Chr. 4:6   And he made ten wash basins and put five on the right and five on the left in which to wash.  They would rinse in them part of the burnt offering, but the sea was for the priests to wash in it.

וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־מְנֹרוֹת הַזָּהָב עֶשֶׂר כְּמִשְׁפָּטָם וַיִּתֵּן בַּהֵיכָל חָמֵשׁ מִיָּמִין וְחָמֵשׁ מִשְּׂמֹאול׃   4:7

2Chr. 4:7   And he made the ten candlesticks of gold according to their ordinance that he put in the Temple, five on the right and five on the left.

וַיַּעַשׂ שֻׁלְחָנוֹת עֲשָׂרָה וַיַּנַּח בַּהֵיכָל חֲמִשָּׁה מִיָּמִין וַחֲמִשָּׁה מִשְּׂמֹאול וַיַּעַשׂ מִזְרְקֵי זָהָב מֵאָה׃   4:8

2Chr. 4:8   And he made ten tables that he set down in the Temple, five on the right and five on the left.  And he made a hundred basins of gold.

וַיַּעַשׂ חֲצַר הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהָעֲזָרָה הַגְּדוֹלָה וּדְלָתוֹת לָעֲזָרָה וְדַלְתוֹתֵיהֶם צִפָּה נְחֹשֶׁת׃   4:9

2Chr. 4:9   And he made the court of the priests and the great enclosure and the doors for the enclosure, and he laid brass over their doors.

וְאֶת־הַיָּם נָתַן מִכֶּתֶף הַיְמָנִית קֵדְמָה מִמּוּל נֶגְבָּה׃   4:10

2Chr. 4:10   And the sea he set on the right side (eastern) toward the south.

וַיַּעַשׂ חוּרָם אֶת־הַסִּירֹות וְאֶת־הַיָּעִים וְאֶת־הַמִּזְרָקֹות וַיְכַל (חיּרָם) [חוּרָם] לַעֲשֹׂות   4:11

 אֶת־הַמְּלָאכָה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה לַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה בְּבֵית הָאֱלֹהִים׃

2Chr. 4:11   And Huram made the pots and the shovels and the basins.  And Huram completed doing the work that he had done for king Solomon in the house of God,

The first time Huram’s name appears in this verse (the second word), it is spelled according to the current times.  But the second time, in the parentheses, it is spelled as in 1Kings.  The assumed error is corrected in the brackets by replacing the yad with a vav.

עַמּוּדִים שְׁנַיִם וְהַגֻּלּוֹת וְהַכֹּתָרוֹת עַל־רֹאשׁ הָעַמּוּדִים שְׁתָּיִם וְהַשְּׂבָכוֹת שְׁתַּיִם לְכַסּוֹת אֶת־שְׁתֵּי   4:12

  גֻּלּוֹת הַכֹּתָרוֹת אֲשֶׁר עַל־רֹאשׁ הָעַמּוּדִים׃

2Chr. 4:12   two pillars, and the bowls, and the capitals on top of the two pillars, and the two networks covering two of the bowls of the capitals that were on top of the pillars,

וְאֶת־הָרִמּוֹנִים אַרְבַּע מֵאוֹת לִשְׁתֵּי הַשְּׂבָכוֹת שְׁנַיִם טוּרִים רִמּוֹנִים לַשְּׂבָכָה הָאֶחָת לְכַסּוֹת אֶת־שְׁתֵּי   4:13

גֻּלּוֹת הַכֹּתָרוֹת אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי הָעַמּוּדִים׃

2Chr. 4:13   and the four hundred pomegranates for two of the networks, two tiers of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals, that were on the face of the pillars.

וְאֶת־הַמְּכֹנוֹת עָשָׂה וְאֶת־הַכִּיֹּרוֹת עָשָׂה עַל־הַמְּכֹנוֹת׃   4:14

2Chr. 4:14   And he made the pedestals and put the basins in order on the pedestals,

אֶת־הַיָּם אֶחָד וְאֶת־הַבָּקָר שְׁנֵים־עָשָׂר תַּחְתָּיו׃   4:15

2Chr. 4:15   the one sea, and the twelve oxen beneath it.

וְאֶת־הַסִּירוֹת וְאֶת־הַיָּעִים וְאֶת־הַמִּזְלָגוֹת וְאֶת־כָּל־כְּלֵיהֶם עָשָׂה חוּרָם אָבִיו לַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה לְבֵית   4:16

 יְהוָה נְחֹשֶׁת מָרוּק׃

2Chr. 4:16   And Huram, his foremost expert to king Solomon, made the pots and the shovels and the fleshhooks and all their implements of polished brass for the house of the Lord.

Compare the fourth word from the end in the first line of this verse with the last word in 2Chr. 2:12.  You may be able to tell that, because of the vav suffix found here, the translation his father or the name Huram-abi does not fit well.  Incidentally, the pronoun his must refer back to King Huram.

בְּכִכַּר הַיַּרְדֵּן יְצָקָם הַמֶּלֶךְ בַּעֲבִי הָאֲדָמָה בֵּין סֻכּוֹת וּבֵין צְרֵדָתָה׃   4:17

2Chr. 4:17   The king had them cast in the Jordan plain in the earthen clays between Succoth and Zeredah.

וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁלֹמֹה כָּל־הַכֵּלִים הָאֵלֶּה לָרֹב מְאֹד כִּי לֹא נֶחְקַר מִשְׁקַל הַנְּחֹשֶׁת׃   4:18

2Chr. 4:18   And Solomon made all these implements in excessive abundance that the weight of brass was not ascertained.

וַיַּעַשׂ שְׁלֹמֹה אֵת כָּל־הַכֵּלִים אֲשֶׁר בֵּית הָאֱלֹהִים וְאֵת מִזְבַּח הַזָּהָב וְאֶת־הַשֻּׁלְחָנוֹת וַעֲלֵיהֶם לֶחֶם   4:19

 הַפָּנִים׃

2Chr. 4:19   And Solomon made all the implements that were to be of the house of God, and the altar of gold, and the tables upon which was the show bread,

וְאֶת־הַמְּנֹרוֹת וְנֵרֹתֵיהֶם לְבַעֲרָם כַּמִּשְׁפָּט לִפְנֵי הַדְּבִיר זָהָב סָגוּר׃   4:20

2Chr. 4:20   and the candlesticks of fine gold and their lamps for their burning according to ordinance before the sanctuary,

There’s a mismatch in gender in this verse.  The first word, translated as and the candlesticks, is feminine, but the pronoun included in the next word, translated as and their lamps, is masculine.  However, it’s true that at times a feminine plural noun takes a masculine pronoun, so this needn’t be considered an error.

וְהַפֶּרַח וְהַנֵּרוֹת וְהַמֶּלְקַחַיִם זָהָב הוּא מִכְלוֹת זָהָב׃   4:21

2Chr. 4:21   and the flowers and the lamps and the tongs of gold -- it was perfect gold

וְהַמְזַמְּרוֹת וְהַמִּזְרָקוֹת וְהַכַּפּוֹת וְהַמַּחְתּוֹת זָהָב סָגוּר וּפֶתַח הַבַּיִת דַּלְתוֹתָיו הַפְּנִימִיּוֹת לְקֹדֶשׁ   4:22

  הַקֳּדָשִׁים וְדַלְתֵי הַבַּיִת לַהֵיכָל זָהָב׃

2Chr. 4:22   -- and the snuffers and the basins and the pans and the firepans of pure gold.  And of the entrance of the house, its inner doors to the holiest of holy places, and the doors of the house for the Temple, were of gold.

These last four verses, 4:19 to 4:22, are similar to those in 1Kin. 7:48 to 7:50.
