Psal. 36:1 For the leader, of the servant of the Lord’s, of David’s:
Psal. 36:2 A declaration of rebellion for a wicked one:
“Within my heart there is no dread of God before His ‘eyes.’”
Psal. 36:3 For it is flattering to him in his eyes
to find his iniquity being hated.
Psal. 36:4 The words of his mouth are of wickedness and treachery;
he has stopped having comprehension to do good.
Psal. 36:5 He will plan wickedness upon his bed;
he will set himself on a path of no good;
evil he will not despise.
Psal. 36:6 Lord, Your loving kindness is into the heavens;
Your faithfulness is up to the high clouds.
Psal. 36:7 Your righteousness is like the mountains of power;
Your judgments, the abundant deep;
You will deliver human and beast, Lord.
Psal. 36:8 How precious is Your loving kindness, O God,
that the children of humanity can find refuge in the shadow of Your wings!
Psal. 36:9 They will be satiated from the fatness of Your house,
and You will give them the river of Your delights to drink.
Psal. 36:10 For the fountain of life is with You;
in Your light can we see light.
Psal. 36:11 Continue Your loving kindness to those knowing You,
and Your righteousness to the upright of heart.
Psal. 36:12 Let not the foot of pride come upon me,
or the hand of wickedness make me wander.
I believe that David is asking in this verse that he not be under the foot of a proud evil doer or be misled by a beckoning hand of wickedness.
Psal. 36:13 There the workers of iniquity fall.
They are thrust down and are not capable of rising.
