הַלְלוּ־יָהּ הַלְלִי נַפְשִׁי אֶת־יְהוָה׃   146:1

Psal. 146:1   Hallelujah!

                                O my soul, praise the Lord.

אֲהַלְלָה יְהוָה בְּחַיָּי אֲזַמְּרָה לֵאלֹהַי בְּעוֹדִי׃   146:2

Psal. 146:2   I shall praise the Lord throughout my life;

                               I shall sing praises to my God throughout my existence.

אַל־תִּבְטְחוּ בִנְדִיבִים בְּבֶן־אָדָם שֶׁאֵין לוֹ תְשׁוּעָה׃   146:3

Psal. 146:3   You must not trust in nobility,

                               in any son of humanity,

                        by whom there is no help.

תֵּצֵא רוּחוֹ יָשֻׁב לְאַדְמָתוֹ בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא אָבְדוּ עֶשְׁתֹּנֹתָיו׃   146:4

Psal. 146:4   Let his breath go out, he will be returned to his ground;

                               in that day his thoughts would vanish.

אַשְׁרֵי שֶׁאֵל יַעֲקֹב בְּעֶזְרוֹ שִׂבְרוֹ עַל־יְהוָה אֱלֹהָיו׃   146:5

Psal. 146:5   Happy is he with whom his help is the God of Jacob;

                               his hope is upon the Lord, his God,

עֹשֶׂה שָׁמַיִם וָאָרֶץ אֶת־הַיָּם וְאֶת־כָּל־אֲשֶׁר־בָּם הַשֹּׁמֵר אֱמֶת לְעוֹלָם׃   146:6

Psal. 146:6   Maker of heaven and earth,

                               with the sea and all that is in them,

                         the Guardian of truth forever,

עֹשֶׂה מִשְׁפָּט לָעֲשׁוּקִים נֹתֵן לֶחֶם לָרְעֵבִים יְהוָה מַתִּיר אֲסוּרִים׃   146:7

Psal. 146:7   executing justice for the oppressed,

                               giving bread to the hungry,

                        the Lord, freeing the bound,

יְהוָה פֹּקֵחַ עִוְרִים יְהוָה זֹקֵף כְּפוּפִים יְהוָה אֹהֵב צַדִּיקִים׃   146:8

Psal. 146:8   the Lord, opening the eyes of the blind,

                               the Lord, raising up those bent low,

                        the Lord, loving the righteous.

יְהוָה שֹׁמֵר אֶת־גֵּרִים יָתוֹם וְאַלְמָנָה יְעוֹדֵד וְדֶרֶךְ רְשָׁעִים יְעַוֵּת׃   146:9

Psal. 146:9   The Lord guards sojourners;

                               He can restore the orphan and the widow,

                         and make crooked the way of the wicked.

יִמְלֹךְ יְהוָה לְעוֹלָם אֱלֹהַיִךְ צִיּוֹן לְדֹר וָדֹר הַלְלוּ־יָהּ׃   146:10

Psal. 146:10   The Lord, your God, Zion shall reign forever,

                               for every generation.
