שִׁיר הַמַּעֲלֹות לְדָוִד יְהוָה לֹא־גָבַהּ לִבִּי וְלֹא־רָמוּ עֵינַי וְלֹא־הִלַּכְתִּי בִּגְדֹלֹות וּבְנִפְלָאֹות מִמֶּנִּי׃    131:1

Psal. 131:1   A song of ascendance of David's:

                        Lord, my heart is not haughty, or lofty my eyes;

                                 nor do I delve into things greater or more wondrous than I.

אִם־לֹא שִׁוִּיתִי וְדוֹמַמְתִּי נַפְשִׁי כְּגָמֻל עֲלֵי אִמּוֹ כַּגָּמֻל עָלַי נַפְשִׁי׃   131:2

Psal. 131:2   Surely I have stilled

                                 and made quiet my soul.

                        As a child weaned by his mother,

                                 is my soul as a child weaned by me.

יַחֵל יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־יְהוָה מֵעַתָּה וְעַד־עוֹלָם׃   131:3

Psal. 131:3   Wait, Israel, because of the Lord,

                                 from now and until eternity.
