Isai. 6:1   It was in the year of the death of king Uzziah that I saw the Master sitting on a throne raised and lofty, and His skirts were filling the Temple.

Uzziah (or Azariah) died in or around the year 753 B.C.E.

Isai. 6:2   Seraphim were present above Him.  Each had six wings.  With two of them he could cover his face and with two he could cover his feet and with two he could fly.

Isai. 6:3   And one called to another and said,

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts!

The whole earth is full of His glory.”

Isai. 6:4   And the posts of the gates shook so from the sound of the call that the house became full of dust.

Isai. 6:5   And I said,

“Woe to me, for I am undone,

Because I am a man of unclean lips

And I dwell amidst a people of unclean lips,

That my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.

Isai. 6:6   Then one of the seraphim flew to me, and in his hand was a live coal he had taken from the altar in tongs.

Isai. 6:7   And it touched against my mouth, and he said,

“Behold, this has touched to your lips,

So your iniquity will be removed,

And your sin will be forgiven.”

Isai. 6:8   And I heard the voice of the Master saying,

“Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here I am; send me.”

Isai. 6:9   And He said,

“Go, and you shall say to this people:

‘Listen carefully, but you will not understand,

And look intently, but you will not discern.’”

Isai. 6:10   “Make the heart of this people fat,

                    And make its ears heavy,

                    And make its eyes shut,

Lest it will see with its eyes

                    And hear with its ears,

                    And its heart understand,

And it would return and heal itself.”

Isai. 6:11   And I said,

                    “Until when, O Master?”

                    And He said,

“Until when if the cities are desolate,

                   Without inhabitant,

And the houses are without a human,

And the land will be a desolate waste,

Isai. 6:12   And the Lord will have dispersed human,

And the desolation in the midst of the land will be enough.”

Isai. 6:13   “And were there still to be a tenth in it that will return,

                    It will also be consumed.

Like a terebinth or like an oak

From which the leaves of the trunk fall,

In them is the holy seed of the stock.”

The holy seed mentioned in the last line of this verse is apparently the remnant of Israel that will survive this holocaust.
