Isai. 19:1   A prophecy of Egypt:

Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud,

                    And is entering Egypt.

And the idols of Egypt shall stagger from His presence,

And the heart of Egypt shall melt within it.

Isai. 19:2   “And I will embroil Egypt with Egypt,

And they will fight, each with his brothers,

And every one with his neighbor,

City with city, kingdom with kingdom.”

Isai. 19:3   “And the spirit of Egypt will be emptied within it,

And I will destroy its counsel.

And they shall seek to the idols

                   And to the charmers

                   And to the ghosts

                   And to the familiar spirits.”

Isai. 19:4   “And I will surrender Egypt

Into the hand of the lords of cruelty,

And a fierce king shall rule over them,”

Declares the Master, the Lord of hosts.

Isai. 19:7   The mosses beside the Nile,

On the shores of the Nile,

And every thing sown of the Nile,

                    Is withered, dispersed,

                   And it will not be.

Isai. 19:8   And the fishermen shall lament,

And all the casters of hooks

                     Into the Nile shall mourn,

                    And the spreaders of nets

On the surface of the water languish.

All makers of dams shall be sad of soul.

Isai. 19:11   The princes of Zoan are utter fools;

Any counselor of the counseling scholars of Pharoah is ignorant.

How can you say to Pharoah,

“I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings?”

Then let them relate to you now

Isai. 19:14   The Lord is mingling spirits of confusion within it

That will make Egypt wander in all of its work

Like the wandering of a drunk in his vomit.
