וַיַּעַל מֹשֶׁה מֵעַרְבֹת מֹואָב אֶל־הַר נְבֹו רֹאשׁ הַפִּסְגָּה אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי יְרֵחֹו וַיַּרְאֵהוּ יְהוָה אֶת־כָּל־   34:1

הָאָרֶץ אֶת־הַגִּלְעָד עַד־דָּן

Deut. 34:1  And Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho.  And the Lord showed him all the land, the Gilead as far as Dan,

וְאֵת כָּל־נַפְתָּלִי וְאֶת־אֶרֶץ אֶפְרַיִם וּמְנַשֶּׁה וְאֵת כָּל־אֶרֶץ יְהוּדָה עַד הַיָּם הָאַחֲרֹון   34:2

Deut. 34:2  and all of Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim and of Menasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the western sea,

וְאֶת־הַנֶּגֶב וְאֶת־הַכִּכָּר בִּקְעַת יְרֵחֹו עִיר הַתְּמָרִים עַד־צֹעַר   34:3

Deut. 34:3  and the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֵלָיו זֹאת הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נִשְׁבַּעְתִּי לְאַבְרָהָם לְיִצְחָק וּלְיַעֲקֹב לֵאמֹר לְזַרְעֲךָ אֶתְּנֶנָּה    34:4

הֶרְאִיתִיךָ בְעֵינֶיךָ וְשָׁמָּה לֹא תַעֲבֹר

Deut. 34:4  And the Lord said to him, “This is the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I shall give it to your seed.’  I have allowed you to see it with your eyes but you will not cross over there.”

וַיָּמָת שָׁם מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד־יְהוָה בְּאֶרֶץ מֹואָב עַל־פִּי יְהוָה   34:5

Deut. 34:5  And Moses, servant of the Lord, died there in the land of Moab according to the word of the Lord.

וַיִּקְבֹּר אֹתֹו בַגַּיְ בְּאֶרֶץ מֹואָב מוּל בֵּית פְּעֹור וְלֹא־יָדַע אִישׁ אֶת־קְבֻרָתֹו עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה   34:6

Deut. 34:6  And He buried him in a gorge in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor, and no one has known his burial place until this day.

וּמֹשֶׁה בֶּן־מֵאָה וְעֶשְׂרִים שָׁנָה בְּמֹתֹו לֹא־כָהֲתָה עֵינֹו וְלֹא־נָס לֵחֹה   34:7

Deut. 34:7  And Moses was one hundred and twenty years of age at his death.  His eye had not grown dim and his natural force had not departed.

וַיִּבְכּוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת־מֹשֶׁה בְּעַרְבֹת מֹואָב שְׁלֹשִׁים יֹום וַיִּתְּמוּ יְמֵי בְכִי אֵבֶל מֹשֶׁה   34:8

Deut. 34:8  And the children of Israel bewailed Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days, then the days of tears of mourning of Moses were ended.

וִיהֹושֻׁעַ בִּן־נוּן מָלֵא רוּחַ חָכְמָה כִּי־סָמַךְ מֹשֶׁה אֶת־יָדָיו עָלָיו וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ אֵלָיו בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל וַיַּעֲשׂוּ   34:9

כַּאֲשֶׁר צִוָּה יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה

Deut. 34:9  And Joshua son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him, and the children of Israel hearkened to him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

וְלֹא־קָם נָבִיא עֹוד בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל כְּמֹשֶׁה אֲשֶׁר יְדָעֹו יְהוָה פָּנִים אֶל־פָּנִים   34:10

Deut. 34:10   And a prophet like Moses has not arisen since in Israel, whom the Lord knew face to face

לְכָל־הָאֹתֹות וְהַמֹּופְתִים אֲשֶׁר שְׁלָחֹו יְהוָה לַעֲשֹׂות בְּאֶרֶץ מִצְרָיִם לְפַרְעֹה וּלְכָל־עֲבָדָיו וּלְכָל־   34:11

אַרְצֹו

Deut. 34:11   for all the signs and the wonders that the Lord had sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharoah and to all his servants and to all his land,

וּלְכֹל הַיָּד הַחֲזָקָה וּלְכֹל הַמֹּורָא הַגָּדֹול אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה מֹשֶׁה לְעֵינֵי כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל   34:12

Deut. 34:12   and for all the mighty hand and for all the great terror that Moses had wrought for the eyes of all Israel.
