1Kin. 21:1   And it was after these events, there was a vineyard for Naboth, the Jezreelite, that was in Jezreel, near the palace of Ahab, king of Samaria,

1Kin. 21:2   and Ahab spoke to Naboth saying, “Give your vineyard to me that it will be mine for a garden of herbs, because it is neighboring the side of my house, and I will give a vineyard to you better than it in its place.  If it is better in your eyes, I will give money to you to buy the same.”

1Kin. 21:3   And Naboth said to Ahab, “It is forbidden from the Lord for me to give the inheritance of my fathers to you.”

1Kin. 21:4   Then Ahab came back to his house sad and displeased by the word that Naboth, the Jezreelite, had spoken to him when he had said, “I will not give to you the inheritance of my fathers.”  And he laid down on his bed and turned away his face and would not eat bread.

1Kin. 21:5   And Jezebel, his wife, came in to him and said to him, “Why is your spirit so sad that you do not eat bread?”

1Kin. 21:6   And he said to her, “Because I spoke to Naboth, the Jezreelite, and said to him, ‘Give your vineyard to me for money or, if it pleases you, I will give a vineyard to you in place of it.’  And he said, ‘I cannot give my vineyard to you.’”

1Kin. 21:7   And Jezebel, his wife, said to him, “Do you now govern the kingdom over Israel?  Get up, eat bread, and let your heart be merry.  I will give the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezreelite, to you.”

1Kin. 21:8   Then she wrote letters in the name of Ahab and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters to the elders and to the nobles who were in the city dwelling with Naboth.

1Kin. 21:9   And she wrote in the letters saying, “Call a fast and set Naboth at the forefront of the people,

1Kin. 21:10   and set two wicked men before him and have them charge him saying, ‘You cursed God and the king,’ and have him taken out and have him stoned till he dies.”

1Kin. 21:11   And the men of his city did, the elders and the nobles who were dwelling in his city, as Jezebel had sent to them, as written in the letters that she sent to them.

1Kin. 21:12   They proclaimed a fast and set Naboth at the forefront of the people.

1Kin. 21:13   Then the two wicked men came and sat in front of him, and the wicked men charged him, Naboth, before the people saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king.” Then they carried him from the city's streets, and they stoned him with stones till he died.

1Kin. 21:14   Then they sent to Jezebel saying, “Naboth has been stoned, and he is dead.”

1Kin. 21:15   And it was on Jezebel hearing that Naboth was stoned and dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, “Rise, possess the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezreelite, that he refused to give to you for money, for Naboth is no longer alive, but he is dead.”

1Kin. 21:16   And it was on Ahab's hearing that Naboth was dead that he rose to go down to the vineyard of Naboth, the Jezreelite, to possess it.

1Kin. 21:17   And the word of the Lord occurred to Elijah, the Tishbite, saying,

1Kin. 21:18   “Rise, go down to meet Ahab, king of Israel, who is in Samaria. Behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, where he has gone down there to possess it.”

1Kin. 21:19   “And you shall speak to him saying, ‘Thus says the Lord:  ‘Have you killed and also possessed?’  Then you shall speak to him saying, ‘Thus says the Lord:  ‘In the place where the dogs licked the blood of Naboth, dogs shall lick also you, your blood.’”

1Kin. 21:20   And Ahab said to Elijah, “Have you found me, my enemy?”  And he said, “I have found, because you have sold yourself to do what is evil in the eyes of the Lord.”

1Kin. 21:21   “Behold, I am bringing evil to you, that I will take away after you as I cut off who piss on the wall, and am closing off and leaving destitute in Israel.”

The word in parentheses is misspelled, missing an aleph.  The correction is in the brackets.

1Kin. 21:22   “And I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam son of Nabat and like the house of Baasha son of Achijah, for the anger which you have provoked that you made Israel to sin.”

1Kin. 21:23   “And the Lord also spoke for Jezebel saying ‘The dogs shall eat Jezebel in the moat of Jezreel.’”

1Kin. 21:24   “Who dies of Ahab's in the city the dogs will eat, and who dies in the field the fowl of the air shall eat.”

1Kin. 21:25   “There was never one like Ahab who sold himself to do what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, except Jezebel, his wife, who stirred him up,

1Kin. 21:26   that did very abominably, going after idols like everything that the Amorites did, whom the Lord cast out from the presence of the children of Israel.”

1Kin. 21:27   And it happened when Ahab heard these words that he rent his clothes and put sackcloth on his flesh and fasted and lay on sackcloth and walked softly.

1Kin. 21:28   Then the word of the Lord occurred to Elijah, the Tishbite, saying,

1Kin. 21:29   “Have you seen how Ahab is humbling himself before Me?  Because of how he is humbling himself before Me, I will not bring the evil in his days; I will bring the evil on his house in the days of his son.”

Like the identical misspelled word in v. 21:21, the word in parentheses here is missing an aleph.  The correction is in the brackets.
